Emarsys is a marketing automation platform that offers a range of tools for email marketing, mobile marketing, web personalization, and customer data management. Antavo's integration with Emarsys enables a seamless exchange of customer data between the two platforms. This way, loyalty managers can create targeted marketing campaigns for their customers, increasing engagement and loyalty.
Find the configuration page of the Emarsys integration by searching for it in the Modules menu.
Configuring the Antavo – Emarsys connection
The setup of the Emarsys integration requires inserting your Emarsys API username and password which can be obtained from the Security settings section settings in the Emarsys platform.
Customer synchronization
Once the connection is set, selecting Emarsys from the list of integrations allows you to select the customer data to be synchronized from Antavo to Emarsys.
Click on 'Add new field ' to configure the field synchronization between the two systems.
The items in the left column’s dropdown called Loyalty fields display the fields that are found within Antavo.
Remote fields represent the equivalent fields in Emarsys.
Add more field mappings by adding new rows at the bottom.
Click ‘Save’.
After saving, data from Antavo is sent to Emarsys to update contact data. The list of contact fields is recovered from your Emarsys account.
Once a field pairing is created it can only be reset after it has been deleted, which can be done by selecting the trashcan icon.
Segment synchronization
Synchronizing segments from Emarsys allows you to use Emarsys segments in Antavo, populated with loyalty customers.
This can be done by selecting the Import segments button in the top-right corner of the Customer Insights page. The system presents you with a list of segments in Emarsys. Once a segment is selected, contact synchronization begins. As this is a lengthy process, the Backoffice notifies you when the segment synchronization is complete.
Segment sync occurs daily to keep the lists up-to-date.
Please note, that non-loyalty customers cannot be synced to loyalty segments, only customers who are already members of your loyalty program.
After the synchronization is complete, the segment will function like any other in Antavo. You can then locate the segment under the Emarsys section of the segment list in Customer Insights and select it.
Please note, that the segment caching service configuration is required to sync segments successfully. Before setting up segment sync for the first time, please contact the Antavo Service Desk to make sure the service is running as expected.
External events
The External Events tab allows you to choose from Emarsys' external events and specify which customer actions should activate them. These events are derived from the events accessible within your Emarsys account.
