Antavo’s approval mechanism helps to identify if settings and customer data have been modified righteously before the changes are live. Besides Backoffice administrators, users who the have right to update Roles can grant approval rights to other users by adding the ‘Content Approval’ permissions to the Permission Mask.

Currently, the approval mechanism can be enabled for the Rewards module and manually registered customer-related events only, but soon we’ll extend the feature to further modules as well.

Find the configuration page of the Approvals module by clicking on the ‘Modules’ icon in the sidebar, and type “Content approvals” into the search bar.

Approvals

When clicking on the “Approvals” tab, the page opens up to the list of changes that are currently waiting for approval. Users with approver rights will receive an email notification that there’s a new change that should be handled.
To approve or reject a change:

  • Click the Review button next to the change that you’d like to approve or reject

  • Review the modifications and click the Approve/Reject buttons. In case of rejection, you can also add a short explanation in the popup that subsequently appears.
    Please note that if more fields have been changed, you cannot choose to approve some field changes and reject others, all changes will be approved or rejected.

  • Keep in mind that this action is irreversible.

When a change has been approved or rejected, the user who submitted the change will be notified via email.

History

The History tab reveals the list of changes that have already been approved/rejected by an approver.

Settings

The main page of the Approvals module is the Settings page where Backoffice administrators can define the basic mechanisms of the module:

  • Enabled modules
    Enable the approval mechanism for each module one by one, by ticking the corresponding checkbox.

  • Notifications: Emails can be sent out after each approval, periodically or never.

  • Personnel: Chose the list of adminstrators to be notified.

Export

Content Approval records are exportable, available in .csv and .psv formats.

Exportable attributes include the timestamp, action user, action, member ID, before and after values for manual tier changes; the number of balance points changed and the latest points balance for manual point adjustments.

Under field settings, you can export all fields, instead of checking each one by one. 

Ask for the auto-generation of the reports daily, weekly or monthly by choosing “Repeated” as a scheduling option.

This option is also accessible by navigating to Modules → Loyalty Modules → Extensions → Exports → Create new export. See the documentation on the Exports module for more details.
