Introduction
This document shows how to configure the connection between Antavo and newsletter provider (NLP) Klaviyo.
Functionalities supported by Antavo
Antavo supports customer and event data synchronization between the two systems - this is a one-way data synchronization only, from Antavo to Klaviyo.
In addition, the email trigger is supported through the no-code workflow editor: when the integration module is enabled in Antavo’s Backoffice, the “Trigger marketing communication - Trigger an external event in your newsletter provider” node will appear in the editor.
Configuring the Antavo – Klaviyo connection
Search for Klaviyo in the Modules menu of Antavo’s Backoffice. As a first step, make sure that you have disconnected other possible NLPs from Antavo.
The module configuration requires an API key. This information can be found in Klaviyo’s platform. To obtain it, follow these steps:
Click the Antavo dropdown menu in the upper right corner.
Select Account, click Settings, and navigate to API Keys.
Click Create API Key.
You can label each private API key for clarity. Click on the pencil icon and type in a new label in the window that appears.
Select Save API Key.
Copy the string to your clipboard. After pasting it to the required field in Antavo’s Backoffice, click the Connect button, then select the list you would like Antavo to synchronize.
Field synchronization
The next step is to configure the field synchronization between the two systems.
The items in the dropdown menu called Loyalty fields show the fields that are found within Antavo. Remote fields are the ones that are found in Klaviyo.
