Introduction

The customer mapping module allows to batch-update various attributes of customers, based on their previously set grouping. After creating these rules of mapping, this batch of customers will be assigned to the given attribute automatically. This helps in organizing the customers to separate compartments in the Backoffice without the use of importing.

In the Backoffice, click on the “Modules” item on the sidebar, and type “Customer mapping” to find the configuration page. The page will open to a list of rules that have already been set up.

Configuring the customer rules

To create a new mapping rule, click on “Create new rule” on the left sidebar.
Define the input criteria under “Filters”. Adding multiple filters is possible by using AND/OR logic.
The “Update” section defines the target value to be set on the customers. Adding multiple updates is possible by using the AND logic.

In this example above, those customers who have defined their language as Hungarian or their currency as Hungarian Forint will be added to the user group called “Hungary”.
