The Social follow module helps to increase the number of your brand’s followers on social networks in a way that members receive an incentive to follow the brand on Twitter or Facebook profiles with the loyalty program.

A new card will appear on the membership site when enabling a Twitter follow or Facebook connect activity.

Find the Social follow module’s configuration page by typing ‘Social follow’ into the search bar of the Modules (blue star) menu. The page will open to setting up the Facebook connect and Twitter follow options.

Enabling Facebook Connect

  • Set the number of points the customer will receive when they connect their Facebook accounts Basic account information will be synced with the customer’s profile when they connect their accounts.

    • You can display the points that the customer has earned through social follow activities in the form of a loyalty card on their membership site by typing in a valid, positive number (if you type in 0 as a value, the card will not be generated).

Enabling Twitter Follow

  • Set the number of points customers will receive when they follow you on Twitter.

    • You can display the points that the customer has earned through social follow activities in the form of a loyalty card on their membership site by typing in a valid, positive number (if you type in 0 as a value, the card will not be generated).

  • Set the Twitter screen name you want the customers to follow.

Save the settings.

Following these steps will log in the loyalty member with their Twitter account:

  • They need to go to https://microsite.{env}.antavo.com/{brand_id}/follow/twitter without authencation.

  • They need to give the Twitter permissions.

  • The page/user should be followed by the connected Twitter user.

Disabling social networks

  • Go to the Social follow module configuration page.

  • Set the number of points given for the channel you want to disable to 0.

  • Save the settings.
